Buy the app, don’t buy the book.

I don’t normally write reviews but thought I would after getting back from two weeks in Kauai. I bought the app after reading about it in the book. From my point of view the app is far easier to use than trying to flip through the book to find the page you are looking for. I found the most useful part of the app was getting directions to a location you wanted to visit. Also trying to locate and stay on un-mark trails was a breeze with the built in GPS function and the map with the app. While there are limited details, I found the trails and roads to be spot on with the map. The app allowed us to find some remote vistas that we would have never found on our own. It would be great if there was a more detail with the map so that you could judge judge distances and even some basic elevations.
